Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Shunsuke, le fils unique de ce dernier, il d\u00e9cide de se consacrer \u00e0 ce th\u00e9\u00e2tre traditionnel. Durant des d\u00e9cennies, les deux jeunes hommes \u00e9voluent c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te, de l\u2019\u00e9cole du jeu aux plus belles salles de spectacle, entre scandales et gloire, fraternit\u00e9 et trahisons&#8230; L&rsquo;un des deux deviendra le plus grand ma\u00eetre japonais de l&rsquo;art du kabuki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Avis&nbsp;:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Sang-il Lee<\/em> est un r\u00e9alisateur japonais reconnu pour son cin\u00e9ma exigeant, souvent sombre et profond\u00e9ment humain. Il s\u2019int\u00e9resse aux trajectoires individuelles, aux h\u00e9ritages familiaux et aux traditions, qu\u2019il filme avec une grande rigueur formelle et une sensibilit\u00e9 rare. Son cin\u00e9ma interroge la transmission, le poids des codes et la place de l\u2019individu dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s structur\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img src=\"https:\/\/fr.web.img5.acsta.net\/r_1920_1080\/img\/d6\/f1\/d6f1b6b6a1c4984196e5cb0bdc98d98f.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>J\u2019adore le cin\u00e9ma japonais. Je trouve qu\u2019il a une d\u00e9licatesse et une subtilit\u00e9 qui lui sont totalement singuli\u00e8res. Alors, d\u00e8s que je peux, je ne r\u00e9siste pas \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ce que le pays du Soleil-Levant nous propose. \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Le ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, c\u2019est une fresque de pratiquement trois heures qui \u00e9voque la vie d\u2019un acteur, des ann\u00e9es 60 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 2025. Le pari est immense, l\u2019ambition d\u00e9mesur\u00e9e et le r\u00e9sultat est tout simplement bluffant. Sublime d\u2019un bout \u00e0 l\u2019autre. Culturellement passionnant. \u00c9mouvant, pour ne pas dire bouleversant, ce \u00ab\u00a0&#8230; <strong>ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb est un spectacle de tous les instants, qui se pose comme un tr\u00e8s grand film, que je n\u2019ai absolument pas vu passer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00ab\u00a0\u00a0\u00bb<strong>Le ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb parle de l\u2019exigence, des sacrifices\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 Nagasaki, Kikuo, quatorze ans, voit son p\u00e8re, chef de gang yakuza, se faire tuer. Juste avant sa mort, le petit gar\u00e7on avait fait la connaissance de Hanjiro, un c\u00e9l\u00e8bre acteur pratiquant l\u2019art du kabuki. L\u2019acteur a vu quelque chose chez Kikuo, une \u00e9tincelle, un don. Il d\u00e9cide alors de le prendre sous son aile. Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de son propre fils, il va former le jeune gar\u00e7on au kabuki, un art exigeant, total, qui demande des sacrifices immenses.<br><br>Pour beaucoup, le cin\u00e9ma est avant tout du divertissement et du spectacle. On y va pour d\u00e9connecter, pour s\u2019amuser. Si j\u2019aime le divertissement comme tout le monde, le cin\u00e9ma a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 pour moi une \u00e9vasion et une ouverture sur le monde. C\u2019est l\u2019occasion de d\u00e9couvrir autre chose, d\u2019\u00eatre touch\u00e9 autrement. C\u2019est aussi pour cela que j\u2019aime autant les films venus d\u2019ailleurs, petits ou grands. Et c\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour \u00e7a que j\u2019aime le cin\u00e9ma japonais : parce qu\u2019il offre un regard singulier sur un pays, une culture, une fa\u00e7on de penser souvent \u00e0 l\u2019oppos\u00e9 de la n\u00f4tre. Et c\u2019est pour tout cela, et bien plus encore, que \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Le ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb m\u2019a totalement absorb\u00e9 et profond\u00e9ment \u00e9mu.<br><br>La premi\u00e8re chose qui m\u2019a passionn\u00e9 avec ce film, c\u2019est sa dimension culturelle. <em>Sang-il Lee<\/em> nous plonge dans un art que, personnellement, je connaissais tr\u00e8s peu. Le kabuki, un art th\u00e9\u00e2tral vieux de pr\u00e8s de six cents ans, profond\u00e9ment codifi\u00e9, historiquement masculin, o\u00f9 les r\u00f4les f\u00e9minins sont interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s par des hommes form\u00e9s d\u00e8s l\u2019enfance. Le film raconte l\u2019histoire d\u2019un jeune homme dot\u00e9 d\u2019un talent rare et d\u2019une passion d\u00e9vorante pour cet art, et qui va tout faire pour devenir le plus grand acteur de kabuki de son \u00e9poque. \u00c0 travers ce portrait, \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Le ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb parle de l\u2019exigence, des sacrifices, de la transmission, du poids des traditions et du travail acharn\u00e9 que cela demande. Mais plus largement encore, le film parle du Japon lui-m\u00eame. \u00c0 travers cet art, on d\u00e9couvre une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement codifi\u00e9e, rigide, qui n\u2019accepte pas n\u2019importe qui, et surtout pas n\u2019importe comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00ab\u00a0une mise en sc\u00e8ne qui tutoie le chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En ce sens, le film est aussi profond\u00e9ment social, tant il interroge la place de l\u2019individu face aux r\u00e8gles, aux h\u00e9ritages et aux attentes collectives. Puis, au fil des d\u00e9cennies qui passent, \u00e0 travers les r\u00f4les, les envies, les chutes, les renaissances, les d\u00e9ceptions et les d\u00e9parts, c\u2019est tout le Japon qui \u00e9volue en arri\u00e8re-plan. Le temps passe, les mentalit\u00e9s changent, les traditions vacillent, mais l\u2019art, lui, demeure. C\u2019est \u00e0 la fois myst\u00e9rieux, sombre et passionnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019autant plus que <em>Sang-il Lee<\/em> propose une mise en sc\u00e8ne qui tutoie le chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre. D\u00e9cors, lumi\u00e8res, costumes, ambiances, spectacles sur sc\u00e8ne, et surtout ce jeu d\u2019acteurs absolument bouleversant. Tout est raffin\u00e9, po\u00e9tique, d\u2019une beaut\u00e9 saisissante. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, ce film est un voyage au c\u0153ur d\u2019une vie enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 une passion. Et pour nous, spectateurs occidentaux, c\u2019est un parcours initiatique qui bouscule, submerge et fascine. Comme je le disais plus haut, le film approche les trois heures, et pourtant, je n\u2019ai rien vu passer. Le temps semble suspendu, comme si la vie de cet homme devenait, l\u2019espace d\u2019un instant, un voyage culturel \u00e0 lui tout seul.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img src=\"https:\/\/fr.web.img2.acsta.net\/r_1920_1080\/img\/64\/bc\/64bcd1866bf93070caedc0b479c4af09.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0<strong>Le ma\u00eetre du Kabuki<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019impose donc comme un moment de cin\u00e9ma exceptionnel. Un voyage de plus de soixante ans dans la vie d\u2019un homme qui se consacre corps et \u00e2me \u00e0 un art ancestral. Parfaitement ma\u00eetris\u00e9 du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin, le film de <em>Sang-il Lee<\/em> est magnifique, subtil, passionnant et profond\u00e9ment bouleversant. Au fil des sc\u00e8nes, il s\u2019impose comme un chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre qui n\u2019est pas pr\u00e8s de nous quitter.
