Il rencontre deux femmes qui leur ressemblent \u00e9trangement. Il s&rsquo;av\u00e8re bient\u00f4t que ces deux cr\u00e9atures sont les fant\u00f4mes des d\u00e9funtes qui cherchent \u00e0 se venger&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Avis&nbsp;:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour le cin\u00e9ma japonais, les ann\u00e9es&nbsp;1960 sont marqu\u00e9es par l\u2019essor de productions qui tranchent avec le traditionalisme de grands studios. Tout comme pour la France et d\u2019autres pays, on parle de nouvelle vague, synonyme d\u2019une approche audacieuse, souvent contestataire, de la part des r\u00e9alisateurs. Parmi ceux-ci, <em>Kaneto Shind\u014d<\/em> s\u2019est avanc\u00e9 comme l\u2019une des figures de proue de ce mouvement. Th\u00e9oricien averti du septi\u00e8me art, il propose des \u0153uvres singuli\u00e8res, voire exp\u00e9rimentales. S\u2019il a \u00e9crit d\u2019innombrables scripts, ses propres films se d\u00e9marquent par un sens de la sc\u00e8ne aussi pointu que subtil. Preuve en est avec <strong>Kuroneko<\/strong>, \u0153uvre fantastique qui vagabonde entre le surnaturel et l\u2019onirisme.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.panorama-cinema.com\/V2\/images\/critique\/critique299\/entete.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Bien que l\u2019on ne distingue pas d\u2019affrontements ou de batailles, l\u2019histoire \u00e9voque les troubles de la guerre et des conflits politiques. Ce contexte \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 abord\u00e9 dans <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lavisqteam.fr\/?p=77096\">Onibaba<\/a><\/strong>, autre production singuli\u00e8re qui poss\u00e8de plusieurs points communs avec le pr\u00e9sent m\u00e9trage. On pourrait les consid\u00e9rer comme un diptyque \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re afin d\u2019\u00e9tayer la vision du cin\u00e9aste sur deux plans, deux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s aux antipodes. On y retrouve ce duo d\u2019\u00e9pouse et de belle-m\u00e8re qui, cette fois-ci, ne sont pas les tueuses, mais les victimes de samoura\u00efs. D\u2019embl\u00e9e, <em>Kaneto Shind\u014d<\/em> n\u2019h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 critiquer un tel statut social, m\u00eame si cet aspect est davantage approfondi par la suite. Le r\u00e9cit se penche plut\u00f4t sur un drame circonscrit au cadre rural, o\u00f9 l\u2019unit\u00e9 familiale subit le contrecoup du conflit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>Kaneto Shind\u014d<\/em> d\u00e9montre la force et le symbolisme d\u2019une mise en sc\u00e8ne \u00e9pur\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La s\u00e9quence d\u2019ouverture reste marquante par la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 des femmes face \u00e0 la bestialit\u00e9 des hommes. Impression accentu\u00e9e par le silence oppressant, l\u2019absence de dialogues o\u00f9 les postures et les expressions suffisent \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer les intentions. <em>Kaneto Shind\u014d<\/em> d\u00e9montre la force et le symbolisme d\u2019une mise en sc\u00e8ne \u00e9pur\u00e9e, pleine d\u2019allusions et de nuances. Constat qui se confirme avec la partie surnaturelle du premier acte. D\u2019une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 historique d\u00e9l\u00e9t\u00e8re, on s\u2019immisce dans un conte fantastique issu du folklore japonais. Cette transition se traduit par le franchissement de la porte Rash\u014dmon, o\u00f9 la for\u00eat de bambous est l\u2019objet de bien des fantasmes&nbsp;; qu\u2019ils pr\u00e9sentent un caract\u00e8re spirituel ou charnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Car le cin\u00e9aste n\u2019oublie pas sa fascination pour l\u2019image de la femme, fatale et tentatrice, au demeurant. L\u2019\u00e9rotisme latent privil\u00e9gie des chor\u00e9graphies de s\u00e9duction, des \u00e9treintes plus appuy\u00e9es et assum\u00e9es qu\u2019auparavant. On s\u2019\u00e9loigne de la simple convoitise pour se perdre dans un instinct bestial. Cela renvoie \u00e0 la nature des hommes pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9voqu\u00e9e, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 celle des spectres errants. En effet, l\u2019intrigue explore la mal\u00e9diction de la femme-chat, la kaiby\u014d. On se confronte alors \u00e0 des manifestations aguicheuses, presque enivrantes, qui rappellent le charme et l\u2019hospitalit\u00e9 dont usent les vampires pour atteindre leur victime. \u00c0 l\u2019image de ce bras velu qui appara\u00eet pendant la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie du th\u00e9, il est pourtant difficile de dissimuler l\u2019instinct animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00ab\u00a0le r\u00e9cit accentue le c\u00f4t\u00e9 opportuniste du statut\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Kaiby\u014d est une cr\u00e9ature polymorphe qui happe l\u2019attention, en d\u00e9pit du bon sens. Ce qui se rapproche du comportement inh\u00e9rent aux sir\u00e8nes. L\u2019incursion nocturne dans la for\u00eat \u00e9voque cette vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9, biais\u00e9e cette fois-ci, o\u00f9 le spectre sert d\u2019app\u00e2t. \u00c0 consid\u00e9rer sa p\u00e2leur dans un endroit noy\u00e9 dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres, on a surtout l\u2019impression qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une luciole dont la lumi\u00e8re attire ses proies vers le lieu de leur tr\u00e9pas. Au-del\u00e0 de la simple notion de vengeance qui reste la pierre angulaire du m\u00e9trage, on distingue une propension \u00e0 la pr\u00e9dation \u00e9vidente. Renforc\u00e9e par le point de vue des victimes, la sensation de prise au pi\u00e8ge est palpable, omnipotente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un second acte qui s\u2019\u00e9carte du caract\u00e8re horrifique initial, l\u2019irruption de l\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9 s\u2019oriente plus vers une profonde remise en question. Les regrets att\u00e9nuent la col\u00e8re des d\u00e9funtes, et ce, m\u00eame si les miaulements du chat constituent un cruel rappel de leur serment, de leur mal\u00e9diction. D\u00e8s lors, l\u2019\u00e9pouse s\u2019apparente davantage \u00e0 la figure du y\u016brei tourment\u00e9 que celle de la kaiby\u014d vindicative. En d\u00e9pit du danger ou de l\u2019impossibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 retrouver des proches disparus, l\u2019obsession de l\u2019autre supplante toute consid\u00e9ration, y compris le devoir et les responsabilit\u00e9s du samoura\u00ef. \u00c0 ce stade, le r\u00e9cit accentue le c\u00f4t\u00e9 opportuniste du statut, sans se soucier de ses valeurs. En somme, les int\u00e9r\u00eats politiques des classes ais\u00e9es pr\u00e9valent sur les pr\u00e9occupations du \u00ab&nbsp;petit peuple&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img src=\"https:\/\/japanization.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Kuroneko-1968-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Au final, <strong>Kuroneko<\/strong> constitue un film d\u2019une grande force \u00e9vocatrice. <em>Kaneto Shind\u014d<\/em> d\u00e9peint un conte onirique dont la connotation tragique se fait l\u2019\u00e9cho de d\u00e9sillusions et d\u2019injustices. Cela tient au crime impuni, au deuil de l\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9 ou \u00e0 la col\u00e8re vengeresse qui en d\u00e9coule. Le r\u00e9alisateur magnifie son propos avec une mise en sc\u00e8ne th\u00e9\u00e2tralis\u00e9e du plus bel effet. Les mouvements f\u00e9lins de la cam\u00e9ra nous rappellent la nature de la kaiby\u014d, tandis que la gestion du cadre et de l\u2019\u00e9clairage intensifie la port\u00e9e des sc\u00e8nes. On peut m\u00eame appr\u00e9cier les d\u00e9placements lat\u00e9raux et la surimpression des bambous \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vocation d\u2019un souvenir, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9coute d\u2019un monologue, renfor\u00e7ant la sensation d\u2019assister au vagabondage de l\u2019esprit des protagonistes et du cin\u00e9aste.
